A murder fugitive is back in police custody after he was apprehended by U.S. Marshals in Virginia.
Sean Johnson, 18, is accused of taking part in a home invasion last month on the 6600 block of Yocum Street in Southwest Philadelphia. According to police, the homeowner, 80-year-old Joseph Fleming, heard a noise in the basement and went to investigate and was shot in the stomach and leg. Fleming died of his injuries on June 22.
Johnson, of the 2100 block of South 67th Street, was first taken into custody back on May 26, but escaped from Southwest Detectives Division. He is being extradited to Philadelphia where he will face murder and related charges.
Also charged in the murder is 20-year-old Aaron Pitts, who surrendered to police last week.
