If you’re catching the Philadelphia Eagles’ home opener against Atlanta on Thursday, getting there won’t cost you a dime. The Broad Street Line will be free all day on Thursday, Sept. 6, in honor of the Super Bowl LII champs’ first regular season game.
Miller Lite and Muller Inc. are sponsoring SEPTA’s Broad Street Line to give free rides all Thursday from 4 p.m. on Sept. 6 to 1 a.m. that night.
“The Free Rides program, courtesy of two of our great partners Miller Lite and SEPTA, has been providing safe and convenient transportation to our home opener for years now,” Philadelphia Eagles President Don Smolenski said in a statement. “We are pleased that Eagles fans will have the opportunity to take advantage of this special offer once again.”
SEPTA General Manager Jeffrey D. Knueppel added, “The Broad Street Line is the best route to all Eagles games.”
“Free Rides” is offered by Miller Lite and Muller Inc. Since 2013, the program has provided 230,000 “free rides” to Eagles fans they estimate.
“Following their winning season, we want Eagles fans to continue to celebrate responsibly,” Diane Wagner, alcohol responsibility manager for MillerCoors, said in a statement. “We’re proud to partner with SEPTA and Muller Inc. for the sixth year in a row to offer football fans transportation to their first home game of the season.”
With “free rides” operational for the sixth consecutive season, getting a free ride on the Broad Street Line is easy. All you need to is walk down to a SEPTA station between 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6 and 1 a.m. that night.
You can take SEPTA’s Broad Street Line Center City Philadelphia to Lincoln Financial Field, which is served by the recently renamed NRG Station.
