India Spellman, the woman who shot and killed an 87-year-old WWII veteran in 2010, was sentenced to 30 years in prison Thursday, according to the district attorney’s office.

Spellman, 20, was only 17 years old when she and a 14-year-old boy tried to rob George Greaves on Aug. 18, 2010. Spellman shot and killed Greaves in the driveway of his Cedarbrook home.

The DA’s office said Spellman and her co-defendant also robbed a health care aide on the street two hours before Greaves’ murder.

Spellman was found guilty of second-degree murder and other related charges in February.
