Iron Hill: Chefs, brewers team up for springtime menu

Iron Hill
IRON HILL BREWERY

While at Iron Hill this season, Philadelphians and those who live near the brand’s multiple locations (throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey) all have the opportunity to check out a new menu that pairs together dishes with beer for the springtime.

This prix fixe menu option features two courses and craft beer for $35 per person, and it’s available at all brewery locations until April 20.

“Collaboration between passionate brewers and innovative chefs has always been a differentiating cornerstone for Iron Hill,” said Iron Hill CEO Chris Westcott in a statement. “Because we are lucky enough to have operating breweries near every table in our restaurant, and gifted talent and creativity in both our brewing and culinary teams, we can create dining experiences that we hope transcend beyond the ordinary.”

Appetizers span a tuna poke bowl (with pineapple salsa, edamame, bibb lettuce, and wakame) paired with a Philly Phavorite IPA, the spring pea and tasso Ham deviled eggs (topped with sriracha and chives) that can be paired with any of Iron Hill’s Seasonal Pale Lagers, and the hearts of romaine salad, adorned with pine nuts, feta, and shaved radish, dressed in a gazpacho vinaigrette teamed up with a Homestead Farmhouse Ale.

Entrees on the other hand, span the chicken penne primavera, served with grilled spring vegetables, sun-dried tomato, and basil in a garlic-light lager broth, suggested to be paired with the Iron Hill Light Lager, and a miso-glazed salmon with coconut-sweet potato puree and grilled asparagus matched with the Pig Iron Porter.

Diners can also indulge in a swordfish pepper steak featuring a rosemary cream sauce, roasted fingerling potatoes, and fresh vegetables, paired with the Vienna Red Lager, or as an exclusive Easter Sunday special, a traditional grilled ham, served with sweet potato hash, grilled asparagus, and a pineapple-Brambleberry glaze, paired with the Brambleberry Farmhouse Ale.

And as the release finishes, Philadelphians can complete the dining experience with a special a la carte dessert for only $8: The blueberry-lemon ricotta pie is made with a coconut graham cracker crust and is best accompanied by the Brambleberry Farmhouse Ale as well.
