It’s time to start making the laws

City Council members will likely have numerous new bills to propose at the start of the fall legislative term.

Among the major issues to be addressed during the coming weeks and months are the DROP program, business privilege tax, Fire Department brownouts, the local impact of Marcellas Shale, rotational towing/wreck chasing, satellite-dish placement, Sheriff’s Office elimination, community-court expansion and certifying rental properties as being lead-safe.
