A Philadelphia teacher is accused of stimulating more than students’ minds.
Paul Stein, 34, a teacher at George Washington Carver High School of Science and Engineering, has been arrested and charged with drug and firearms violations.
Montgomery County authorities allege Stein was busted for selling marijuana to undercover officers twice within 100 feet of Cheltenham High School. On Sept. 8, after two previous alleged transactions, Stein met with undercover officers and sold them a pound of marijuana, authorities said. Authorities Agents later allegedly found another pound in his city home, along with five guns, a bullet-proof vest and $16,000 in cash.
Stein, a nine-year veteran, taught psychics, chemistry and engineering at the magnet school. He has resigned.
