J.P. Crawford moves one step closer to joining big league Phillies

J.P. Crawford has graduated from doubleA to triple A and is one step closer to taking the field with the big club in Philadelphia.

The top prospect in the Phillies organization was hitting .265 and had walked 30 times in just 36 games with double A Reading.

Crawford tweeted Friday, “Thanking God for this opportunity I’m getting. Stay blessed.”

The Philstabbed Crawford with the 16thpick in the 2013 MLB Draft.

The 21-year-old shortstop is now expected to make his big league debut in 2016.
