A Philadelphia institution, Jerry Blavat, also known as “the Geator with the Heater,” hosted his 42nd Jerry Blavat and Friends concert Saturday night at the Kimmel Center. Darlene Love, Frankie Avalon, Little Anthony, the Tymes, Gary U.S. Bonds, the Chi-Lites and the Vogues entertained the nearly sold-out crowd in the Verizon Center. As per tradition for Blavat’s appearances at the Kimmel Center, attendees were invited to the Commonwealth Plaza for dancing before and after the performance.
