The Philadelphia Eagles seem to be weighing all of their options at quarterback this offseason as veteran passer Joe Flacco is visiting the team on a free-agent visit, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

At 36 years old, his best days are well behind him. The former All-Pro was a reliable arm for the Baltimore Ravens for 11 seasons before injuries and the drafting of Lamar Jackson drove him out of town.

He didn’t cut it with the Denver Broncos before heading to the New York Jets last season as a backup option for Sam Darnold. The youngster’s inability to stay healthy allowed Flacco to get some playing time, though, appearing in five games and starting four of them.

He went 0-4, completing 74-of-134 passes for 864 yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions.

Needless to say, it appears as though he would be a backup option for the Eagles — if they can only figure out their current quarterback situation.

With Carson Wentz traded to the Indianapolis Colts after a falling out with the organization, second-year, second-round pick, Jalen Hurts is slated to be the No. 1 man under center in Philadelphia, for now.

Flacco would obviously assume the same role he did with the Jets in Philadelphia.

But the Eagles hold the sixth pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and could potentially take a quarterback, like Ohio State’s Justin Fields or North Dakota State’s Trey Lance. Both are expected to be available — though there would be plenty of irony to sift through if the Eagles took Lance from the same school they came away with Wentz.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler also noted that Eagles fans shouldn’t count out another reunion with Super Bowl-winning quarterback, Nick Foles. In initial Wentz talks with the Chicago Bears, Foles was offered back to Philadelphia in a potential deal.

They are also believed to be in the mix for Deshaun Watson, who wants a trade away from the Houston Texans. His future, however, is uncertain as he faces allegations of sexual assault.
