Kensington house fire injures man

A fire (not pictured above) ripped through a row home in Philadelphia’s Kensington section New Year’s Eve, injuring one man.

A house fire in Kensington on New Year’s Eve sent one man to the hospital.

The blaze broke out in a two-story row home at Hope and Ontario streets about 10 p.m. Tuesday, 6ABC Action News reports.

Philadelphia firefighters brought the fire under control in about 25 minutes. The victim, 40, was taken to Temple University Hospital with second- and third-degree burns and for treatment of smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
