Any day now. Any day.
As soon as the NFL lockout officially ends — yes, the two sides could have a deal in place today — the Eagles are expected to hit the ground running. First order of business: trading backup QB Kevin Kolb.
Kolb’s top destination is reportedly Arizona. According to reports, the Cardinals are offering cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie for Kolb.
Kolb appeared on the Dan Patrick Show yesterday, with WIP radio personality Howard Eskin serving as guest host, and seemed to welcome the trade to Arizona.
“I think most people can connect the dots now, I hope,” Kolb said. “Arizona would be a great place. I’ve envisioned myself there and some other places.”
When asked if he saw any scenario with Kolb as an Eagle, he said: “I’ve had a great time there, but it’s time for me to move on and do my own thing. I’m the first one to tell you that I had my shot and it didn’t work out.” metro
