The King of malls just got bigger with a new connector between both buildings of the King of PrussiaMall.

A $250 millionexpansion project that began two-and-a-half years agowas celebrated on Thursday with, not a ribbon cutting, but a ribbon splicing. Two ribbons from each mall were joined in the mall’s new resplendentfood court.

Savor King of Prussia, the food court, boastsWiFi stations and fountains,Philly.comreported.

The 155,000-square-foot connector and a new 250,000-square-foot wing, which houses 50 news stores and restaurants, makes the mall four times it’s original size,ABC6 Philadelphia reported.

“King of Prussia has reached new heights,” Simon’s President and Chief Operating OfficerRick Sokolov told ABC6.”I think we have come up with a collection of retailers that people would find compelling.”

New stores includeCartier, Altar’d State, Jimmy Choo,Carolina Herrera, Vince,David Yurman,Bonobos and Calligaris.

“Beautiful and fashionable, very glitzy,” shopperKathy Forney said of the mall, ABC6reported.

“It will make for a more enjoyable walk, especially when it’s really hot and really cold out,” Ryan Shing, a 19-year old Drexel student,told Philly.com. “It’s a big deal.”

The retail square footage of the mall is now6.3 million, Philly.com reported.
