A young man was killed and three other people, including two teenagers, were wounded when gunfire erupted outside a house Saturday evening in Kingsessing, authorities said.

The shooting happened at around 6:30 p.m. on the front porch of a house on the 1000 block of S. 51st Street, according to police. More than 25 spent shell casings were reportedly found at the scene.

An 18-year-old man was shot in his face and died a short time later at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, investigators said. The PPD has not publicly identified him.

Police said a 17-year-old boy who had been shot four times was taken to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in critical condition. The two other gunshot victims – a 16-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man – were hospitalized with nonlife-threatening injuries, according to authorities.

The PPD said a gun was recovered but that no arrests have been made. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call or text police at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
