Kolb looking for home cooking

Kevin Kolb will be in a familiar spot Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. For the first time since opening weekend, he’ll likely be announced as the Eagles’ starting quarterback.

Kolb’s play in that game was forgettable, ending in an eventual loss and demotion. He insists his confidence level hasn’t changed since that fateful day.

“I want to stay pretty consistent. I don’t want to get too high, I don’t want to get too low,” Kolb said. “I know that’s your mentality, but I think, especially in this town and in this market, when you lose a couple you can get way down and don’t play well.”

Kolb is coming off a solid showing in San Francisco, posting a 103.3 QB rating in a 27-24 win. Now, he attempts to guide the Eagles to their first home win of the season.

“That’s our next step as a team,” Kolb said. “We’ve had that mindset of, ‘We’re going in there and we’re going to take it from you,’ and we have to bring that same mindset back home and be able to get a tough victory against a good team this week.”

Eagles welcome new back to stable

The Eagles acquired running back Jerome Harrison from the Browns yesterday in exchange for Mike Bell.

Bell saw limited action with the Eagles, carrying just 16 times for 28 yards. Meanwhile, Harrison had fallen out of favor in Cleveland and was replaced by Peyton Hillis. Harrison gained 862 yards and five touchdowns for the Browns last season. METRO
