Protest planned by fire union

Originally scheduled for yesterday, the Commonwealth Court hearing on the continuing battle between City Hall and the firefighter’s union about whether paramedics should remain in IAFF Local 22 will be held today.

There will also be a “Save Medics from Nutter” rally at noon outside the northeast corner of City Hall near a memorial for fallen firefighters. IAFF General President Harold Schaitberger is expected to attend.

On Friday, a judge issued a temporary injunction in the case.
