Kurt Vile Fishtown mural restored

Mural-gate has now come to an end: the Kurt Vile mural at Front and Masters Streets in Fishtown has been restored to its original luster.

According to multiple reports the building’s owners realized on Thursday that the paint used by a local DJ to deface the mural last weekend was easily brushed away with a good power wash.

The artist, Steve Powers, expressed his appreciation on Instagram.

“Guess who’s back? Its not beanie, jay-z or fitty, Its Cool Kurt Vile not Conway Twitty. THANK YOU.”
