Tony Washington has signed a National Letter of Intent to play men’s basketball at La Salle, according to coach John Giannini.
“Tony will be another player who helps our team chemistry because he is a good teammate and a mature, kind person,” Giannini said. “We very much look forward to his arrival on campus. He gives us a very athletic player who can block shots, rebound and be effective on both ends of the floor. He has a high upside and is an excellent addition to our program.”
Washington, a 6-foot-9 forward/center, averaged 12.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game last season for The Miller School in South Carolina. He was tabbed as a two-star recruit (out of five) by ESPN.com.
