Last minute Valentine’s dinner plans perfect for Philly sweethearts

Do you need to make some last-minute Valentine’s Day plans with that special someone? Don’t sweat it, Metro has you covered, so you can look like cupid this weekend instead of unlucky in love.

Urban Farmer 

The hotspot that calls The Logan Hotel home will be offering a Valentine’s Day at Home menu which feeds two for $75. According to a releasee, the menu consists of a prime porterhouse, twice baked fingerling potato tart, heirloom baby carrots, cauliflower almond soup, field greens salad, housemade cornbread, and strawberry passionfruit mousse as an enhancement (for $12). The date night at home package will be available Feb. 13 and 14 with pick up times starting at 4 p.m. and lasting until 9 p.m. As for indoor dining, Urban Farmer is also offering Valentine’s Weekend Specials including a ‘Port of Love’ as the specialty cocktail, broiled oysters and foie gras torchon, scallops and pork belly, prime porterhouse, twiced baked fingerling potato tart, a broiled 5oz. lobster tail, blackened foie gras butter, strawberry passionfruit mousse, and chocolate fondue for two. The menu will be available for indoor dining and takeaway from 4 to 11 p.m. with their last seating at 9 p.m.

Amada

Philadelphians can spend a romantic dinner with Amada, who recently just re-opened for indoor dining. For Valentine’s Weekend, Philadelphians can enjoy a three course chef’s tasting menu (available Friday through Sunday) featuring Garces shared plates. The first course consists of manchego and serrano (marcona almonds, olives, apple), zanahorias (carrot and quinoa salad, avocado) and datiles (bacon-wrapped dates, almonds, cabrales); while the second course features gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimp), piquillos (crab-stuffed peppers, toasted almonds) and albondigas (lamb meatballs, manchego, truffle). The third course features a choice of pintxos de pollo (spiced chicken brochette, harissa, pistachio) or pintxos de morunos (lamb loin, pomegranate & tempranillo, mint and almond gremolata) (+$10 per person) both served with vieras (diver scallop, jamon and shellfish broth, chorizo bilbao, crispy potato) and bruselas (brussels sprouts, white sangria raisins, pistachio, lemon and mint crème fraîche); and the fourth and final course/ dessert boats pasteles (chocolate cream puffs, dark chocolate cream). The dinner is $80 per person for dine-in only Valentine’s Weekend.

Forsythia

Why not go a little fancy with the Valentine’s Day meal? Forsythia is offering a spirited list of menu items and additional libations for everyone to enjoy this weekend. A few stand-out items include chestnut bisque, crab salad, whole wheat rigatoni with duck heart ragout, filet mignon with caramelized onion shitake mushroom daube, black truffle bordelaise, and chocolate and speculoos crepe cake, all for $75 per person with the option of a wine pairing for an additional $25 per person. Some additional offerings included in the release include a floral bouquet brought to the table as a surprise for significant other ($40), charcuterie with all the fixings ($20), champagne ($50), and a ‘Love Potion’ cocktail ($10).

Jet Wine Bar

For Valentine’s Day, sometimes you just need something simple and satisfying. For that ideology, South Street vino venue Jet Wine Bar is offering a rosé and cheese pairing for $69. The specialty gift pack will consist of three bottles of rosé (a sparkling, Calkarasi, and Grenache) paired along with the following artisan cheese gift pack: goat rodeo wild rosemary cow/goat, Clover Creek Galen’s Good Old Cow, and Boxcarr Nimble cow/goat and housemate pimento cheese. The pack will also come with some tasty accouterments including candied walnuts, pickled carrots, whipped pumpkin butter, and two buttermilk biscuits. This specialty package is available now for pick up online, in-store, or by phone until Sunday, Feb. 14.

This Old City eatery has three different tasty ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year. Diners who head to the Lamberti family’s popular spot can sit through a candle-lit experience all weekend long as Positano Coast will be offering the warm glow of the candles throughout with your wine, cocktails, dinner and dessert. Additionally, the restaurant will also be offering oyster and champagne pairings all weekend long, with: Blue Point oysters (each lightly salted with an essence of seaweed; Rhubarb-Ginger Gin, dry vermouth, sea salt and Prosecco)  Kumamoto Oysters (each deep-cupped with petite meat, mild brininess, sweet flavor, honeydew finish and a honeydew infused gin, Junmai Ginjo Sake, lemon, champagne); James River Oysters (each mild brininess, plump meat, mild flavor; hop-infused grapefruit vodka, Prickly Pear Liqueur and Brut Rose). If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, Positano Coast is also offering a Sweetheart Menu for two where they will be serving up crab tacos for two; rigatoni for two;  your choice of pork chop parmigiana or grilled salmon; chocolate delights for two; and a bottle of Prosecco. This particular offering is for take-out and to-go only and costs $125 plus tax and gratuity. The Sweetheart Special will be available Friday, Feb. 12 to Sunday, Feb. 14, and need to be pre-ordered by Saturday, Feb. 13.
