LeSean McCoy No. 45 on NFL list

lesean-mccoy-hero LeSean McCoy dropped down a few spots on the NFL’s annual list of its elite.

LeSean McCoy has been voted No. 45 on the NFL Network’s list of the league’s Top 100 players. The annual rankings on voted on by the players themselves.

McCoy, who was featured in Thursday night’s show, dropped quite a few notches after being ranked No. 18 last year. Blame injuries to McCoy and his offensive line for the fall. McCoy was the only Eagles player to make the list after earning seven in 2011.

The NFL Network captured the essence of what makes McCoy so good in its presentation video. It featured several of the league’s elite, including the Ravens’ Haloti Ngata describing just how elusive the Eagles’ feature back is. One player referred to his ability as “shake and bake.”

McCoy appeared on the NFL Network, via Skype, after the show aired Thursday night. He was a little upset about his lower ranking, but remained all smiles and yukked it up. When the studio panel tried to get him to say Cam Newton was better than Mike Vick, McCoy didn’t bite.

“I think Cam has so much potential … I like Mike,” he said. “I’d take Mike [as his quarterback].”
