The Eagles look to be cashing in on their recent success with substantial stadium expansion and a hike in ticket prices for 52 percent of seats.

Another 43 percent of seats will remain the same price while five percent will drop in price.

Lincoln Financial Field has began construction on an addition of 1,600 seats and other upgrades, including a new HD video board and LED ribbon boards to the 11-year-old complex.

“For the first time since we opened Lincoln Financial Field in 2003, we have an opportunity to add seats,” Eagles President Don Smolenski said. “We’re excited to be able to add new fans to the Eagles family.”

The seats will be added to all levels, with lower bowl seats maintaining Stadium Builders Licenses.

“With seats being added and the structure of our seating bowl changing, we took a step back and reviewed how the building was priced,” Smolenski said. “We decided to adjust the prices in certain sections to more accurately reflect their value and popularity compared to other sections around the stadium.”

The additions will lift the total capacity for Eagles football games to over 70,000.
