You don’t need to move to Paris to dwell in a “city of love.” It turns out that Philadelphia is a great place to be single and looking.
Rent.com has the City of Brotherly Love coming in sixth in its new list of“Top 10 Cities for Singles.”Based on rental data from Rent.com and demographics from Onboard Informatics, factors like concentration of single adults, safety, nightlife activity, variety of dining and coffee shop density were evaluated on a 1,000 point scale to find the top ten cities for seeking out a significant other.
The streets of Philadelphia are known to be remarkably walkable, making it a perfect city for holding hands. At number 6 on Rent.com’s list, Philly’s standout index might be its low median rental rate, which at under $1,300 for a 1-bedroom is less than half of either Boston or New York’s. Don’t stop at just cheesesteaks and soft pretzels: prospective couples in the fifth-most populous American city can take advantage of its many bars and dining options. Just like the show: it’s always sunny in Philadelphia.
