There have been plenty of places popping up with holiday dinners and food specials, the only problem you might run into is having to narrow it down to a few options—Metro is here to help you out with that. 

Di Bruno Bros. Winter Holiday Dinner package

The popular brand is offering a meal package that will serve six people and comes with rolls and butter, plus your choice of one hors d’oeuvre, one appetizer, one entree, two sides, and one dessert. Choices for the package include a build your own mini lobster roll kit, Kennet Square mushroom soup, herb-roasted Angus beer-sirloin, Coq Au Vin, roasted brussel sprouts, gingerbread cheesecake, an Italian market cheeseboard and much, much more. The full menu of offerings is available online (prices vary depending on what you choose), and orders need to be placed by Friday, Dec. 18 at 3 p.m. Order can be picked up either on Wednesday, Dec. 23 between 1 and 7 p.m. or Thursday, Dec. 24 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Locations for pickup include three of Di Bruno’s venues: The Italian Market (930 S. 9th Street), Rittenhouse Square (1730 Chestnut Street) and Ardmore Farmers Market, but there is also a delivery options for orders with a minimum of $300. Delivery will be available Dec. 23, with two delivery timeframes to choose from: 9 a.m. to noon or noon to 4 p.m. Delivery is available in Center City from river to river and Girard Street to Oregon Avenue, and there is a $20 fee for the service.

Fond’s Cookie Trays

According to a release, Jessie Prawlucki-Slyer, co-owner of Fond, is making assortment cookie trays with six flavors to make the holidays a littler sweeter. Each tray will feature gingerbread people, pecan snowballs, lemon raspberry sandwiches, cherry toffee chocolate cookies, almond cardamom biscotti and white chocolate peppermint shortbread. Trays of 24 cookies are available for $32 and assortment of six cookies for $12, and orders can be placed by e-mailing [email protected]


Lil’ Pop Shop

If you want something a bit different to treat yourself too this holiday season, Lil’ Pop Shop is your one-stop-shop. The dessert hotspot is offering a variety of different pies and cookies in an assortment of holiday flavors. Pies range from Bourbon Fig Pecan to Eggnog Brûlée to Double Lemon, while the cookie boxes offer an assortment of the following flavors: Cardamom Vanilla Raspberry Jam Cookie, Triple Chocolate Peppermint, Chocolate Chip, Ginger Molasses, Lemon Cheesecake with Cranberry Icing, Matcha Shortbread (includes three) and Chocolate Chip Shortbread (includes three). Pies come to be $30, while the cookie box prices at $24. Lil’ Pop Shop’s holiday desserts will be available for pre-order via e-store on their website for pickup at their shop and also available for order via Joy Box

Oyster House’s Feast of Seven Fishes Dinner Package

If you’re looking to sink your teeth into the classic Italian tradition of the Feast of the Seven Fishes, why not go to one of Philly’s top seafood spots? Oyster House is offering a meal that serves two people, which was created by Executive Chef Joseph Campoli. The menu is $90 and includes smoked fish dip with house-made crackers; caesar salad with cured white anchovies; chilled seafood mixto with shrimp, mussels and calamari; clams casino; linguini with crab gravy and tiramisu. Oyster House is also offering the option for dishes from this menu to be ordered a la carte, and Philadelphians should note that some items will need additional cooking and come with detailed directions. To place an order, Philadelphians can place an order by calling Oyster House at 215-567-7683 by Dec. 21 at 5 p.m. Orders can then be picked up Wednesday, Dec. 23 and Thursday, Dec. 24.

Pizza of the Seven Fishes from SliCE

According to a release, Marlo and Jason Dilks of SliCE recently announced the return of their annual holiday pie, Pizza of the 7 Fishes. This special seasonal pizza is inspired by their families’ Christmas Eve traditions and by a seven-course seven fish dinner popular in South Philadelphia. Pizza of the 7 Fishes features mozzarella topped with clams, mussels, shrimp, tuna, crab meat and sardine all sauteed with fresh olive oil and garlic, and topped with anchovies, fresh lemon and basil. Pizza of the 7 Fishes will be available until Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) for $19 for small and $26 for large. The Dilks are also bringing back a family tradition for your family to share with their Seafood Caesar (made with with romaine, shaved parmigiano-reggiano, house-made Caesar dressing, sauteed shrimp and crab meat featuring house-made croutons) for $15. All December special dishes are available through Jan. 2, and are available on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. On top of the other specials, SliCE is also offering large square pie with light and airy crust for $20 with mozzarella and San Marzano sauce that can be cut into party slices – 12-24 hour notice is recommended ahead.

Franklin Fountain’s Treats 

Franklin Fountain is known for their ice cream specialties, which they will be serving up, but they are also offering some other treats for Philadelphians to indulge in this holiday season. Philadelphians can indulge in their S’mores Ice Cream (a cinnamon-base ice cream with chunks of graham crackers and swirls of smoked marshmallow sauce and hot fudge), Peppermint Stick Ice Cream (a peppermint ice cream flecked with pieces of house-made peppermint candy), a vegan turn-over (mixed berry, filled with blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries and topped with vanilla glaze and dehydrated raspberries for a pop of color), apple pie sold by the slice, hot chocolate, coffee, hot apple Cider, plus avariety of baked goods, cookies, and hot liege waffles that can be turned into ice cream sandwiches or eat on their own.
