Make sure your voice is heard on primary day

Sixty-seven candidates for judge. Seven Republican 16 Democratic City Council at-large candidates. Four ballot questions.

It’s a complicated ballot, but the most important thing any registered voter can do is show up and vote.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Any voter in line before 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.

The local political watchdog, Committee of Seventy, is offering a dedicated hotline on May 19 from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. staffed by independent volunteers. Call 1-855-738-3689 for help locating your polling place, with voting problems, or more information about candidates.

For any potentially criminal issues, call the D.A.’s Election Fraud Task Force at 215-686-9641/9643/9644.

“We don’t anticipate any problems on Election Day, but if there are we are ready to respond,” D.A. Seth Williams said in a statement.

The D.A.’s office will have 60 prosecutors and several dozen detectives ready to respond to any fraud complaints, Williams said.
