A Northeast Philadelphia man will be charged with murder and other crimes for allegedly running over and killing a man outside a bar earlier this week, authorities said Tuesday.
Police said Frederick Falcon, 22, was behind the wheel of the SUV that struck 24-year-old Jason Corona at around 2 a.m. Sunday on the 2700 block of Comly Road, near Roosevelt Boulevard, in the Far Northeast.
Corona, who lived in Fredericksburg, Virginia, was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he died a short time late, according to police.
Detectives believe Falcon intentionally hit Corona following an argument at the bar.
Falcon surrendered to authorities Tuesday morning. He is set to be charged with third-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter, homicide by vehicle and other offenses, police said.
