Man critical after hit-and-run outside The Roxxy nightclub in Old City

Police are investigating a hit-and-run that left a man, 23, in critical condition with severe head trauma.

Police said that the victim was involved in an altercation with bouncers from The Roxxy and / or the neighboring Bamboo Club, both on the 900 block of North Delaware Avenue, when, shortly before 2 a.m., he was struck by a blue Honda as it pulled out of the parking lot.

Though the vehicle fled the scene, the driver was later found and taken into custody for questioning. Charges are pending, police said.

The victim was rushed into surgery at Hahnemann Hospital and remains in critical condition.
