Police pull body from Schuylkill River, believe it to be that of man who jumped days ago

Police pulled a body from the Schuylkill River yesterday afternoon near the Chestnut Street Bridge in University City.

After a passerby caught sight of someone in the water, the Marine Unit responded.

They recovered the body of a black male in his mid 40s around 2:30 p.m. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigators believe the victim to be a man who jumped into the river two to three days ago
