Man critically injured in Chinatown shooting

A man was in critical condition after he was shot early Wednesday morning in Chinatown, police said.

Someone shot the 38-year-old victim once in the head just before 3:15 a.m. near the corner of 10th and Appletree streets, authorities said. Officers transported him to Jefferson University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said no one was apprehended in the immediate aftermath of the shooting.
