Man killed in Roosevelt Boulevard hit-and-run crash

A pedestrian was killed in a hit and run crash early Monday morning on Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia, police said.

The victim, a 42-year-old man, was struck at around midnight on the 7600 block, in the Rhawnhurst neighborhood, and medics declared him dead at around 12:10 a.m. Monday, according to authorities.

Investigators, based on vehicle parts at the scene, believe the driver was behind the wheel of a 2010 to 2015 Toyota Prius. Police have not released any surveillance video or images.
