Man killed in Northern Liberties on New Year’s Eve

Philadelphia police are investigating a homicide in Northern Liberties on New Year’s Eve.

A man was shot and killed in Northern Liberties about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim, 18, was shot at 7th Street and Girard Avenue and died at Temple University Hospital a short time later, NBC10 reports.

Philadelphia police say the homicide was the last of 2013. It marked the 247th reported homicide in the city, the lowest number since 1967.

The victim was shot once in the head and once in the chest, according to the report.

Police are searching for three suspects in the homicide, according to CBS Philly.
