Man killed inside his car in East Mount Airy

Police are looking for the suspect who shot and killed a man inside his car in East Mount Airy early this morning.

The suspect reportedly fired into the car around 3:11 a.m. on the 300 block of East Rittenhouse Street, then fled in a tan SUV on the 5800 block of Baynton Street.

The victim, 25, was hit in the chest and rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he died at 3:48 a.m., police said.

The car rolled into the yard of a nearby house after the man was shot, according to reports.
