Man Shot in the Face, Then Drives Into Telephone Pole

A man was shot in the face in Point Breeze early Saturday morning.

Police responding to a report of gunshots on the 2300 block of Greenwich Street around 1:42 a.m. found a man, 20, suffering from a gunshot wound to the face.

The victim said he was sitting inside his car when an unknown man or men shot at him multiple times. He escaped by driving west on Greenwich Street, then came to a stop when he hit a telephone pole.

He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in stable condition.
