A man allegedly stole a Lancaster City Police horse Monday, according to reports from the Intelligencer Journal.
Adam Christopher Schulz, 32, faces charges of felony theft after he reportedly took an officer’s horse, Charlie, when it was tied up outside Lebzelters Total Car Care on the 300 block of North Queen Street around 4 p.m. Charlie’s officer was inside checking on the business.
Schulz was reportedly caught by another officer walking down the street about a block away with Charlie’s reins tied around his waist and was arrested without incident.
The report said that Schulz lives in a townhouse, so it is unclear where he was planning on keeping the horse. He was arraigned yesterday morning and jailed in lieu of posting $20,000 bail.
