Man killed by train in Overbrook

A man running to catch a train yesterday in Overbrook slipped off the platform, fell onto the tracks and was run over by the train he was attempting to flag down.

The victim, who police said appeared to be a 40- to 60-year-old white male, was hit at the Overbrook Train Station by an Amtrak train heading from Philadelphia to Harrisburg shortly after 4 p.m.

Police have not yet determined his identity.
