Man’s Body Found in Backseat of South Philadelphia Car

A body was discovered this morning on the 1000 block of Jackson Street in South Philadelphia in what police are calling a “suspicious death.”

A 23-year-old man was found in the backseat of a car wrapped in blankets shortly before 5:30 a.m. and pronounced dead on the scene. Police are not releasing his identity until the manner of death is established.

Authorities are continuing to investigate.
