Suspects take $19k in cash during Mayfair home invasion, police say

Gunmen broke into a Mayfair house and took $19,000 in cash and $25,000 worth of jewelry while holding a family at gunpoint early Sunday, police said.

The four suspects committed the robbery at around 5:15 a.m. on the 3200 block of Cottman Avenue, authorities said. A 15-year-old boy and four adults were held at gunpoint during the crime, according to investigators. In addition to the money and jewelry, the men stole five iPhones, police added.

No arrests were reported Sunday. The PPD described the suspects as between 20 and 30 years old. Three of them were wearing black coats, and the fourth was in a green coat, according to investigators.
