Medical examiner says trashed fetus not viable

The medical examiner in Camden, New Jersey has determined that a fetus found in a recycling
center was too immature to be viable.

But police are still seeking information about how the female, 19-week fetus got there.

The fetus was found on a conveyor belt ateCommunity Camden, a recycling plant on the 2200 block of Mount Ephraim Avenue in Camden,by an employee at approximately 3 p.m. Thursday.

The medical examinerfound that the fetus was not capable of breathing and died to to extreme immaturity, according to a release by Camden County police.
