A 34-year-oldwoman was arrested Friday in the homicide of her elderly neighbor, officials said.
Elisabeth Anna Floyd is accused of attacking her 96-year-old neighbor, Alfred C. Payne, on Sept. 21, 2015. At about 7:35 a.m. that day, police found “Payne lying on the driveway of his East Norriton Township home with visible injuries, caused by Floyd, whom he hadn’t met prior,” according to the Montgomery County DA’s office.

His injuries included a hip fracture, which required surgery. Following hospitalization, Payne passed away at a long-term care facility on Feb. 19.
Payne’s death was later ruled a homicide by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.
Floyd was arraigned Friday on third-degree murder and other charges related to Payne’s death, and was denied bail. Her next court appearance is set for July 13.
