Looking to celebrate your mom or mother figure for Mother’s Day in Philadelphia? We’ve rounded up some of the special events in 2024 to treat the special lady in your life.
Stir
Locals can bring their moms to the Philadelphia Museum of Art to spend the day at one of the city’s most popular cultural institutions, and then head to the venue’s restaurant, Stir, for a special brunch. Dishes span a Croque Madam (with bechamel, Jambon de Paris, sourdough and a fried egg), Hong Kong-style French Toast (made with condensed milk, maple syrup and Harry’s berries) and more.
Diners will also receive a complimentary sweet treat, featuring cookies with edible markers to draw on for mom when dining at Stir on May 12.

El Chingon
El Chingon is offering a special Mother’s Day menu not just on May 12, but throughout the month of May as well. The establishment’s “Mi Madre” offerings come from chef/owner Carlos Aparicio in celebration of his mother. As a release notes, the three new menu items pay homage to the woman who taught him how to cook and money raised from said menu will benefit the Moriviv Latin Cancer Support Group.
The specials will be available during lunch service (until 3:30 p.m. for both dine-in and takeout) throughout May and include Tamales de Frijol (ayocote bean fried tamal, crema, queso fresco, and cilantro for $14), Fideos Secos (angel hair pasta, tomato sauce, burrato and epazote pesto for $20) and the Costillas de Cerdo (en salsa verde y verdolagas, baby backs, salsa verde, purslane and tortillas for $24.) All three can be ordered together for a total of $50.

Dock Street Brewing Company
Dock Street Brewing Company’s South Street location is celebrating Mother’s Day in Philadelphia with a special workshop from Shannon Toal Designs.
This Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. the venue will host its Mother’s Day Floral Workshop for $35 per person, and while there, participants will be able to spend time making unique floral arrangements with pay-as-you-go food and drinks available from Dock Street’s menu.

SIN Steak Italian Nightlife
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., locals can head to SIN for its first Mother’s Day Brunch with sweet and savory specials.
Dishes span a Smoked Salmon Frittata (smoked salmon, crème fraiche, chives, spinach, heirloom tomato and capers), Fig Toast (grilled sourdough, whipped ricotta, fresh figs, hot honey and Maldon salt), Limoncello Bread Pudding French Toast (limoncello anglaise, fresh berries, powdered sugar and maple syrup), plus a Mother’s Day Pink Mama Cocktail with elderflower, pink grapefruit and gin, and a wide dessert selection.

Harp & Crown
Philadelphians can bring the special lady in their life to Harp & Crown’s Elbow Lane for Mother’s Day in Philadelphia—aka the restaurant’s downstairs chic bowling alley, which happens to be serving up some special dishes this Sunday.
A la carte breakfast items span a yogurt parfait, smoked salmon toast and steak and eggs, Philadelphians can try them all while bowling, or, head upstairs to the establishment’s popular $35 per person brunch buffet which features a build-your-own-omelet station, top-your-own donut station, charcuterie spread, artisanal sandwiches and more.

Locals can bring their moms to the city’s first bacon-inspired eatery for Mother’s Day in Philadelphia this year to try out some of the venue’s unique fare. Nunzio by Chef Michael DeLone
For those who want to venture over the bridge into Jersey, Nunzio by Chef Michael DeLone will be offering a special brunch menu that pays homage to both classic favorites and Italian culinary flair. Menu items span a Lobster Benedict (with a poached egg, arugula, and a rich truffle hollandaise), Gnocchi Pomodoro (with a Neopolitan-style tomato sauce) and more.
Nunzio will also offer some BYOB drink specials including fresh orange juice for mimosas and an Italian Espress-No Martini.

Betsy Ross House
For Mother’s Day in Philadelphia, The Betsy Ross House will be offering a “Crafternoon with Wilson & Claypoole.” Visitors will be able to meet an older Betsy Ross, now Betsy Claypool, along with her daughter and business partner, Clarissa Wilson. As a release notes, the ladies of Wilson & Claypoole will guide participants in a hands-on sewing lesson and everyone will leave with a lavender sachet they stitched themselves.
