Grab your spoons: Friday is National Peanut Butter Day.
Devil’s Den (1148 S. 11th St.) is getting nutty with three peanut butter beers: DuClaw Sweet Baby Jesus, a chocolate peanut butter porter; Twisted Pine Rhesus Stout, a chocolate peanut butter stout with a mocha head; and Spring House Big Gruesome, also a chocolate peanut butter stout. Complementing the nutty brews, chef Matthew Daggett is whipping up peanut butter-infused dishes, including pork satay with peanut sauce, and a peanut butter pie.
Over at Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant (1460 Bethlehem Pike, North Wales), new head brewer Doug Marchakitus will be releasing Peanut Butter Porter, a peanut butter-y take on Iron Hill’s Pig Iron Porter.
Sweet tooth? Max Brenner (1500 Walnut St.), the chocolate-everything restaurant, has a peanut butter and jelly sandwich “choctail,” made with milk chocolate ganache, peanut butter, strawberry preserves and milk.
