NJ man accused of hiding camera in medical center restroom

A former employee of DaVita Dialysis Center in Mount Laurel was arrested Tuesday on allegations he hid a camera in the women’s restroom.

David B. Leftridge, 57, has been charged with invasion of privacy and tampering with evidence stemming from the discovery of a camera in his female co-workers’ restroom at the dialysis center, the Courier-Post reported.

On April 22, police were notified that a compact video camera was uncovered in the restroom, NJ.com reported. A subsequent investigation of Leftridge’s Sicklerville home revealed additional evidence related to the camera.

Authorities, though, do not know how many women were recorded or when the camera was installed, the Courier-Post added.

“We are actively assisting law enforcement in their investigation and have zero tolerance for any such alleged invasion of privacy,” a statement from a DaVita representative was quoted by NJ.com, which added that Leftridge now no longer works there.

Leftridge was held at the Burlington County Jail on $50,000 bail, according to the Courier-Post.
