Sink a fork into Northern Liberties Restaurant Week this weekend

Northern Liberties Restaurant Week is making its return for 2023. From Jan. 27 to Feb. 5, Philadelphians can dine at over two dozen spots offering lunches at $10 and $15, plus specialty- priced three course dinners for $15, $25 and $40. 

Returning favorites include Añejo Philly, Pera Turkish Cuisine, Cantina Dos Segundos, Figo Ristorante, Apricot Stone, Urban Village, Bagels and Co., El Camino, Standard Tap and more. There are also a few new stops added to the 2023 event with Nourish Cafe (which is brand new for the area), Hikari Sushi, Las Cazuelas, The Winston, The Shake Seafood and D’Oliva EVOO Pizza and Grill making the list.

With the move to winter, comes the addition this year of the Igloos at Figo and the heated patio and cocktail garden, plus other outdoor permanent options such as the outdoor heated year-round seating at Urban Village, upper deck seating at Standard Tap and courtyard seating in the Liberties Walk for Apricot Stone, D’Oliva EVOO Pizza and Grill, Baan Thai Thai Cuisine and SET NoLibs. Plus, courtyard seating at the Piazza for Bagels and Co, a release states.

“Northern Liberties continues to gain popularity as one of the hottest food destinations in the city – with at least ten more restaurants, cafes and food-oriented businesses set to grand open in 2023. Our restaurant week is a celebration of all the energy, creativity and talent,” said NLBID Executive Director Kris Kennedy in a statement.

Kennedy continued: “It is a fantastic way to experience and show off that growth. Come and try a spot you have never been to, or experience your favorite places all over again. This is an affordable way to get out for the spring with friends and family. We hope to see you there.”

Cuisines for the 2023 Northern Liberties Restaurant Week include Vietnamese, Armenian, Italian, American, Chinese, Thai, Mexican and much more. A full list of participating spots offering everything from pizzas to salads to sushi to skewers and everything in between is available online. 

Options span indoor dining, outdoor dining and take-out, all decided by each restaurant.

“Come out and celebrate our diverse food options with Northern Liberties Restaurant Week this January,” finishes Kennedy. “Most eateries are still recovering from COVID disruptions and rising food costs, so this is a big and important two weeks for them.
