Two men opened fire on a group of people playing dice Wednesday night in Olney, leaving one man dead and four others wounded, authorities said.

After the shooting, one of the suspects stole an SUV at gunpoint from a woman who was waiting to pick up food nearby, according to investigators.

Gunfire erupted just before 10 p.m. outside of Bananas Bar & Lounge, at the corner of Rising Sun and Clarkson avenues, police said.

A 46-year-old man who was shot multiple times in the torso was rushed to Einstein Medical Center, where he died a short time later. Authorities said a 27-year-old man was in critical condition after being shot in the arm and leg.

Three other men — ages 27, 28 and 32 — showed up to Einstein with gunshot wounds. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to police.

The stolen SUV was found unoccupied a few blocks away near the intersection of Fisher Avenue and Water Street. Investigators said the vehicle had crashed into a parked car.

Several hours later, just before 4 a.m., detectives were on the scene of a triple shooting that occurred outside on the 2200 block of Seybert Street in North Philadelphia.

Authorities said a 36-year-old man was shot twice in the left leg and once in the right leg. He was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.

A 63-year-old man was shot in the right foot, and a 41-year-old man was struck in the right leg. Both are expected to survive, according to police.

No arrests were reported in connection with either shooting.
