Osama bin Laden dead: Philly mosques on high alert

Following the news of Osama bin Laden’s death, Philadelphia police are on high alert at local mosques and synagogues.

Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey has ordered hourly checks until further notice. Officials said no issues have been detected at this time.

Citizens rallied outside the White House and Ground Zero following President Barack Obama’s announcement Sunday night that American-led forces had killed bin Laden, the alleged mastermind behind several global terrorist attacks, including 9/11.
