State police say four people died and 133 were injured in more than 473 car accidents across Pennsylvania over the July 4 holiday weekend.
That’s a slight improvement over least year, when eight people died in 695 car crashes.
In all, troopers this year say they arrested 441 people for driving drunk, and wrote more than 10,000 tickets.
State police say that those statistics only cover accidents they investigated, and don’t include crashes investigated by other law enforcement agencies.
