Two separate shootings in the Gray’s Ferry section of Philadelphia have left a six-year-old boy wounded, one man dead and two others wounded.
The boy was shot in the foot at approximately 11 p.m. in 3100 block of S. 18th Street. He was behind his home in a driveway where several relatives were playing basketball. Witnesses told police that they saw a dark vehicle with no headlights drive down the alley and heard one to three gunshots.
About 10 blocks away and an hour later, police responded to a shooting on the 1200 block of S. 28th Street where an apparent gunbattle had taken place.
They found a 38-year-old man struck down. He was pronounced dead at Penn Presbyterian Hospital. A 40-year-old man with two gunshot wounds was taken to theHospital of the University of Pennsylvania by car. A 45-year-oldman with gunshot wounds to the legsturned up at a hospital in New Jersey.
Police have not identified any suspects in the incidents.
