Phillie Phanatic, Mr. Met end feud

The Phillies announced today that a new Phanatic bobble-head doll will be given away at one game each month. Rikard Larma/Metro

In case you missed it Monday night — and we’re sure all you devoted Phillies fans were glued to the All-Star Game Home Run Derby — MasterCard broke out a new commercial featuring Mr. Met and the Phillie Phanatic.

In the ad, the two iconic mascots — well, we thought only one was iconic until a silly Forbes survey told us otherwise — put aside their petty differences and have a meal together to fight cancer. It’s part of the company’s Stand Up To Cancer campaign.

After the commercial aired, the feuding mascots marched out onto the field at Citi Field to greet the fans. It was a creative spot for a worthy cause. Check it out below.
