Philly celebrates Pride with food and drinks

Sofitel

All over Philadelphia, different hotspots are giving visitors the taste of Pride through specialty food and drinks. Metro has the scoop on where you can indulge and celebrate the occasion all month long.

Bagels and Co.

Northern Liberties’ latest eatery is all about bagels, and this weekend, the new breakfast and lunch joint will be donating $1 from every Signature Rainbow Bagel to Philly Asian Queer for their work in the community. On top of the rainbow bagels, the 1,100 square foot coffee and bagel cafe also serves up a dozen varieties of Brooklyn-style Bagels, over two dozen signature cream cheeses and spreads, along with fresh made-to-order sandwiches, salads, baked goods and other goodies.

On the coffee side, Bagels and Co. is also serving up their own fresh-brewed coffee in partnership with D’Amico Coffee Roasters.

Tickets are $55 per person and diners can also add $10 for bottomless Champagne, Mimosas or Bloody Marys — $5 from each purchase will be donated to the William Way LGBT Community Center.

FCM Hospitality

There are eight locations under FCM Hospitality that are celebrating Gay Pride Month with eight different cocktails. According to the release, FCM Hospitality and owner Avram Hornik announced that Lola’s Garden, Juno, Parks on Tap (two locations), Morgan’s Pier, Harper’s Garden, Craft Hall, The Garden at Cherry Street Pier and Rosy’s Taco Bar will all work in unison to help raise funds for LGBTQ Philadelphia-based charities through Philly Gay Pride Month Cocktails for a Cause.

All eight locations will feature a special-colored cocktail to match the eight colors in the Philly-specific and inclusive rainbow flag. All libations will also raise money for four different charities — $1 from all eight cocktails during the 30 days of June will go to support William Way LGBT Community Center, Attic Youth Center, Philly Asian Queer and Galaei.

Right now Philadelphians can sip on the Red (a Stateside Rose) at Rosy’s Taco Bar, Black (a Mezcal Margarita) at Juno, Brown (a German Chocolate Cold Brew Martini) at Craft Hall, Orange (an Orange Crush) at Morgan’s Pier, Yellow (their take on a Bay Breeze) at Harper’s Garden, Green (a Butterfly Gimlet) at Lola’s Garden, Blue (frozen Electric Lemonade) at The Garden at Cherry Street Pier, and Purple (their Pride Punch) at Parks on Tap.
