Philadelphia had just 12 fire-related deaths in 2015, a 63 percent reduction from the 32 in 2014, officials said.
Derrick Sawyer, the Philly fire commissioner, tweeted 10 years worth of fire death statistics, which showed deaths had decreased a whopping 77 percent from 52 deaths in 2006.
Sawyer also tweeted that the fire department responded to 307,360 emergency incidents during 2015, a 7 percent increase over 2014.
The Philadelphia Fire Department tweeted that fire-related injuries fell 31 percent in 2015 to 120, the lowest number in the department’s recorded history.
