Being an organization whose mission is to produce all musicals, all the time, it makes sense for 11th Hour to provide Philadelphians with this unique membership experience. According to the release, the organization produces a broad spectrum of musicals that fill a niche in the diverse Philadelphia theatre landscape: musicals that spark the creativity of artists and the imaginations of audiences. Over the past 15 seasons, they have produced 17 full-scale musicals, nine of which were Philadelphia premieres. In addition to the World Premiere of their first commission, ‘Field Hockey Hot.’

Most recently, 11th Hour produced a virtual short play from Itoro Bassey titled, ‘Unapologetically Black: Here for Facilitating Harm Reduction for Those In Need Incorporated.’ The show aired on Zoom this past weekend and offered “a great jumping-off point for dialogue about racism and the possibilities of allyship.” The show featured a few notable local artists including Carl Kennedy, Omoze Idehenre, Valeka Jessica and Donnell E. Smith and was co-produced and co-directed by actor, activist, director and creative Kalif Troy.
