Investigators are looking for answers in the death of a 22-year-old man, who was this morning shot and killed inside a home in the Kingsessing section of Southwest Philadelphia.
Police said they were called to the residence on the 900 block of Conestoga Street shortly after 5:15 a.m. for reports of a person with a weapon and of gunshots coming from inside the house.
Arriving officers found the victim lying in the dining room. He had been shot in the head and died on the scene.
Investigators said that, according to the victim’s last known address, he did not live at that location. His identity has not yet been released.
Police believe the motive to be an argument with an unknown black male. They want to speak with that man, or with anyone who knows anything about the slaying.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911, or to submit an anonymous tip by dialing 215-686-TIPS (8477), texting PPD TIP (773847), emailing tips@phillypolice.com or by filling out this online form.
